Live Flight Data Step by Step - Part 8 - How much CO₂ is flying over Switzerland?

A transponder doesn't send fuel flow. An open aircraft performance model turns type, altitude and speed into an estimate: about 8,800 tonnes of CO₂ over Switzerland in 22 hours – with a range of −18 to +24 % from one unknown alone, and a third of the traffic the model can't see.
